| "Papa Gator" Submitted by: Rich Cerelli | Please pray for my Papa Gator, stepdad Jim, he was first diagnosed with liver cancer, given chemo, then doctors found out that they read the biopsy wrong, found out it was psclirosis of the liver. Chemo messed him up bad. Papa Gator is vet, served in the Air Force. VA Hospital took care of him. They have the same name as you both,they had a beautiful daughter named Blair. I have been looking for them for many years just to say hi and thank you for everything. I still have my green bible right in front of me as well as the photo of Blair as a little one in a sailor dress with red tights. God has been good to me. I have a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful grown christian children and a new grandmother of 1 beautiful little girl. Just had my 44 birthday April 12. | Relocation Submitted by: Sean Barber | Hi, my name is Sean Barber. In the next few weeks, my family and I will be relocating to Fairbanks from Daytona Beach, Florida. I've been out of work for a year and a half. We have prayed diligently for a job, and God has provided a wonderful position working for SAIC on the AFB. It will be a big change for us as my wife and kids have never lived outside of Florida, but we feel confident God has led us there and we are very excited. Our family and friends are concerned because we don't know anyone in the area. We are shooting out some e-mails to local churches to try and rally some support through the Body. Finding a new church once we get there will be one of our top priorities. We have never made a move like this to an area we know nothing about. (Though we have been doing extensive research.) Our main concerns are finding a rental and getting a new vehicle once we get up there. We have three children (10, 4 1/2, and 7months) and a shepherd/retriever mix dog. We will be looking on our own, but would be so grateful if anyone in your congregation knew of a rental for us. We need 2-3 bedrooms, preferably a garage, and pet acceptance. We'd like to stay below $15-1600 for rent, but could possibly swing a little more if necessary. It sounds awful to say this about yourself, but we are an honest, hard-working Christian family. Our dog is extremely friendly (we're afraid she'll try to make friends with the critters :) and well-behaved. My wife is a homemaker and we homeschool our children. We are leaving our little car behind and will be driving a rental car temporarily when we get there. So we are also looking for a vehicle large enough for four children, as we hope to have more. Above all, we also ask that you would be praying for us as we make this journey. We know that God will provide through all of this, He has been so incredibly faithful through our trials these past months. | Thank you for my Pastor Submitted by: Rich Cerelli | I would like to say thank Jesus for our beloved Pastor Kelly. I thank you Lord for bring him here to us at Shannon Park. I thank you for giving the board members wisdom to select a man like Kelly who is on fire for God and is a real man who is seeking after your ways Lord. I thank you that 4 years ago our church had the wisdom to select a Pastor who is a real Christian man. A man who, by his own admission, is not perfect, but tries to be a man after your own heart Jesus. I praise you for his shouts of "GLORY!!" during worship service. Shows us how he loves you deeply. I thank you for his family who show me how a loving and supporting family they can be, every day. Lord Jesus I thank you for using your Holy Spirit to convict me of sin when Pastor Shares from his heart and your Word, areas in my life that need correction and repentance. Lord Jesus I don't know how to share this without me sounding phony or fake. But ever since my Pastor came to Shannon Park, I have seen folks come and I have seen them leave. Folks who pledged to support my Pastor. I saw hurt feelings and disappointly I saw people leave Shannon Park. But through it all Lord Jesus, I saw my Pastor lean on you and your Word. He did not waiver, he did not falter. I am sure he struggled, don't we all Lord? You would know... Lord Jesus I myself have struggled with somethings, but when I went to my prayer closet you showed me that your Holy Spirit and Him alone was convicting me of my sin, not my Pastor. Lord my prayer is that you would give my pastor wisdom, may your Holy Spriti continue to guide his life as he leads Shannon Park as our pastor, As he lead his family as a husband, father and grandpa, and as a man who is trying to walk in your ways Lord Jesus. My Uncle Dick, the one dying from brain cancer, has been recently improving and the tumors in his brain have been shrinking. His quality of life is actually improving and he's getting more quality time with family and his wife. Thank you for your prayers! 2. Heidi just got offered the job that she wanted here at the Native Medical Center (the hospital) as a Critical Care Unit nurse ...exactly what we prayed for and what she wanted.
